hitchhiker.social - end-of-life

I started the hitchhiker.social mastodon server in 2018. I invited some friends to create accounts, created a custom theme and even made some small contributions to the Mastodon source code. In the past few years, I've rarely used this instance; using my Pleroma/Soapbox server instead.

My friends have stopped using this instance a little over two years ago, and it's just turned into a maintenance burden.

I've written a bit about the Fediverse over the years, for anyone who is interested:
