Apparently @Purism dropped the plan to create a pen tablet convertible - at least it disappeared from their website. Meanwhile BYOD classrooms are flooded with iPad Pros and Surface Tables without any viable open alternative in sight.

@beni @Purism I did have Linux running on a Surface Pro 2 years ago. It's be neat to get KDE Plasma running on one.

But yea I get what you mean. I hate how in the mobile and table world, we don't have more than two options any more.

@djsumdog @Purism I also run #Slackware on my Lenovo convertible pen tables. However, generally people don't install operating systems. As long as there isn't a Linux pen tablet you can buy which works well, most people will keep using whatever came with their machine.
