Queercrip Anarchist Take of the Night
Human beings shouldn't be valued based on beauty. We shouldn't place any value in beauty.
Human beings shouldn't be valued based on intelligence. We shouldn't place any value in intelligence.
Human beings shouldn't be valued based on hard work and productivity. We shouldn't place any value in hard work and productivity.
Value is a capitalist concept. Let's not value anything. Let's just be ugly, stupid, and lazy.
No, not really
Still, the anti meritocracy thing is weird. If I have brain cancer, I don't want a surgeon who isn't value based on experience or training. I don't want my manager hiring incompetent programmers. I don't think things are as cut and dry as the OP.
@crushv @aloysiusaurus To quote David Graber: "If freedom (real freedom) is the ability to make friends, then it is also, necessarily, the ability to make real promises. What sorts of promises might .. free men and women make ..? At this point we can’t even say. .. the first step in that journey, in turn, is to accept that in the largest scheme of things, just as no one has the right to tell us our true value, no one has the right to tell us what we truly owe."
