Yep, banned on another instance it seems. Part of me wants to block these instances so I don't see any of their federated crap; not like I can respond to the OPs. Getting banned is a little freeing because I could speak freely and not be afraid, but at the same time if more people ban me I'll basically be put in my own echo chamber. I do want to hear other ideas, ideas I don't agree with. That's how we learn. But I'm sick of being called a Nazi or sexist just for opening the discussion.
Wow ... so we had a private DM conversation and I was fine with this person blocking me. That is their right, but then to send out a message saying everyone should block me based on your ideological beliefs?
I never used profanity. I never used slurs. I just had ideas you didn't agree with.
Blocks should be personal. When you say something like that; it's aggressive and it makes you shitty.
You want to know what happens when you don't have free speech? Ask Australians. This post, which talks about suppression and gives no details over the conviction in a high profile case, was taken down. The original is a 404:
The EFF opposed the Right to be Forgotten legislation for this reason, because it is more often used for censorship by the powerful to cover up their crimes.
